Tastings

Glynhynod Talk and Tastings

Held in our beautiful 17th century gallery, you will be given a little talk about the farm, businesses and their history followed by a tasting of a few of our cheeses, accompanied by Cradocs savoury crackers and H&P chutney, and Dà Mhìle’s four main gins and rum.

Tastings are booking only and run Monday-Friday at midday, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm (excluding bank holidays)

They last for roughly three quarters of an hour and there is the chance afterwards to visit our farm shop where you can try any of our other products.

Please call Dà Mhìle on 01239 851998 to book a tasting.

If you’d like to book for a large group and / or evening tasting, please enquire.

About the space

Our gallery was hand built by an in house team with help from locals, no crane was used to erect the many oak beams into the roof, with all the oak coming from the farm. It has a viewing platform where you can see the top of Dà Mhìle’s state-of-the art still, and occasionally even watch the still in action.

Please take note of the following:

Minibus/Bus access is limited, the maximum size we advise is a 28 seater minibus.

Disabled access is limited due to the age of the buildings and the geography of the farm. We are looking in to how we can improve access for the future.

Dogs will not be able to access the building or production areas. Guide dogs are allowed in the gallery and shop.

Children are welcome to visit, but please keep in mind that we are a commercial distillery, producing a product which is legally for adult consumption only. We do expect parents to use their judgement when considering the distillery as we do not have any facilities to entertain children. Any children brought to the distillery must be supervised at all times and may be asked to leave if they disrupt the experience of our other visitors.

Please be mindful that we are a food & drink manufacturer. If you, or a member of your group, are unwell and/or suffering from any gastrointestinal or contagious illness on the day of your visit, we suggest that you postpone your visit until a later date.
