Workshop Schedule

A usual day begins at 10 am with coffee, tea & cake in our gallery, followed by a short presentation of the butter-making process at Teifi Cheese.

At 11 am, we’ll head to the butter room where you'll learn about the different churning methods.

The butter will be chilled at 1 pm while we enjoy a homemade lunch together. Afterward, you’ll pack your butter and embark on a tour of the dairy.

The day concludes at 4 pm when you’ll receive resources to help continue your butter-making journey at home.

  • Timings: All courses start and end times are approximate and may be adjusted by up to one hour if necessary. Participants will be notified of any changes in advance where possible.

What You'll Learn

During the workshop, you'll discover the secrets behind making perfect butter. We’ll explore the differences between cultured cream and fresh cream, and you’ll learn how to churn butter using food processors, barrel churns, and jar churns. Once the butter is made, you’ll wash, pat, and even experiment with making flavoured butter. Expect to leave with your own freshly made butter and buttermilk, ready to impress friends and family.
